I have started Woodbridge to Health because I went through almost 20 years of trying to find my way to health in Woodbridge and I have been alone for so much of those.
I have started Woodbridge to Health because the more I learn about the healthcare system in US the more scared I get about its ability to keep us healthy. I think it is designed to not let us die, I know the doctors, nurses and other clinicians are trying their best and I see that the medical research is outstanding. Unfortunately our health happens in the middle of this, where we make decisions for our health every day and very few are looking out for us.
I have started Woodbridge to Health because I found amazing support from online friends and I learned so much, but I struggle to find good local doctors and facilities to help me keep healthy.
I have started Woodbridge to Health because I did everything I knew to have a healthy pregnancy and I still lost my baby. I learned a lot and went on to have a healthy pregnancy, but I want to be there for others emotionally and by sharing what I learned with other mothers and families.
I have started Woodbridge to Health because I started exercising seriously at 47 and it has changed my life. I am fitter than I’ve ever been and healthier that I’ve been in the last 15 years. I want to stop people struggling to walk on the street and tell them they can have a better life.
I have started Woodbridge to Health because I think that Primary Health Care should mostly happen in the community, every day. Occasionally, it will happen in a doctor’s office too. Doctors can be the managers of the plan, but they can’t direct everything we do every day that influences our health.
I started Woodbridge to Health because I want to and can help and because I need help. I know others feel the same and there’s power in travelling together.
